Can you dodge a shot in the dark?

Illuminating the way to victory, the annual Pirate Pete week hosts a fun display of friendly rivaly as students clash during Blacklight Dodgeball.
Students form teams and compete under blacklight to see who is the year’s Dodgeball Champions.
Thirteen teams competed Friday, Jan. 20, for the prize of a $50 gift certificate to Little Caesars Pizza.
Another prize is given to the team with the best costumes.
Team “A1 Squad” defeated “Team Warren” in the last match of the night.
“Jacob Kennedy’s Team” won for best costumes of the event.
Each team was promised three games of play, the first two being warm up rounds, and the third going into elimination.
Everyone was all smiles as students ducked and dodged their way to a hopeful victory. It definitely was a night of fun that will be remembered.
Hungry Hippo hijinks

The classic tabletop game, Hungry Hungry Hippos, was transformed into a life-sized inflatable fight ring as students geared up to snatch red balls to help satiate their hunger.
Students gathered in the PUB to join in the antics that had students running, jumping and flying through the air to beat out their contenders.
There are not very many differences between a hungry hippo and a college student. Both the hippos and the average college student will go to great lengths to satisfy their hunger.
“I feel like the event went very well,” said ASC Vice-President Alex Losee. “It was well attended and overall approved by the student body at large! I personally had a lot of fun with it,” Losee said.
The ASC sponsored event was filled with laughing and smiling as music filled the PUB, ensuring this event would be one to remember.
Bone apple tea

When Poptarts, Doughnuts, Pizza and Spam are on the lunch menu, only one thought comes to mind. Bone apple tea.
Nine contestants sat, awaiting their intestinal demise, Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Eight of the nine participating faced two year victor, Larry Blomberg, who ate up to his champion title until the final round when facing off against Big John, a new face in Pirate Pete Week.
In the final round, the last contestants faced a can of spam, and “Big John” Binando took the lead and secured his name on the plaque, toppling Blomberg.
“It was a successful event with a big turnout. It was a great start to Pirate Pete Week,” said Vice President of the ASC, Alex Losee.
