Meredith Parker, Makah elder and Makah Indian Nation General Manager bought her first camera, a Canon 35 mm in 1976, with her summer job money starting her photography love affair.
Parker captures tribal activities through her lens. The photos are full of bright and rich colors showing a side of tribal life not normally witnessed by outsiders.
Parker’s presentation highlighted Makah events in Neah Bay such as Makah days, canoe journeys, pot latches and tribal life.
The Longhouse is located behind Keegan Hall and the tennis courts.
