The annual health fair is set to take place in the Peninsula College PUB on May 1 from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. Kathy Craven and other faculty from the nursing program are putting on the event for the benefit of PC students and to teach students in the nursing program about public relations.
The workshops and free services will include activities related to prevention, early detection, birth control, nutrition, blood pressure testing, effects of stress on the body, STD education, and exercise.
“It’s free, and it’s open to everyone, so everyone is welcome. We are basically just trying to provide education, prevention and early detection,” said Michelle Hammond, a student in the nursing program.
