“Our team did great. All we ask from them is to be in a position to win at the end of the year and that doesn’t always mean you’ll win it just means that you have a level of athletes who could win and the game still has to go your way. We were right there,” said Rick Ross, Peninsula College Athletic Director.
With a bittersweet ending to the season the men’s soccer team went on to demonstrated the true power of teamsmanship.
“Our motto is ‘strength through unity’. Being a soccer team collectively we are like one big family. At the end of the day we just want to be there for them (the women’s soccer team) and support them like they did for us,” said Sterling Penniston-John, captain of men’s soccer team.
