Kristina Campbell was director of college and community affairs on the 2017-18 ASC. She’s been secretary of STEM Club, and a student leader of the Students Of Color Con-
ference. She’s been an AmeriCorps intern, and member of multiple local community committees & coalitions.
“It is my goal to show our college and commu- nity that the ASC is more than just an event plan- ning committee,” Camp- bell said.
One of her goals for the coming year is to open a food pantry on campus for students struggling to meet their food costs. She said she’s been work- ing on the idea with the Business Club, and hopes to have the pantry up and running in the next year.
Vice President
Colton McGuffey, a Running Start student, was director of records and finacnce on the 2017-18 ASC.
McGuffey is currently a working/training firefighter
and EMT. He’s been a cap- tain and a coach of sports teams. He’s been an as- sistant commander in the Royal Rangers (a Christian young-men’s leadership organization) and was a county executive last sum- mer at Evergreen Boys State, an American Legion mock-government summer program.
He wants to help stu- dents enjoy themselves at PC by making them more aware of school events, saying they “need stuff to do outside of the mun- dane.”
VP – Programming
Casandra White, an athlete, was a part of the Interact Club, a commu- nity service organization that’s an extension of the Rotary Club, at her high school in Modesto, CA.
There, she was also vice president of the Na- tional Art Honors Society.
She also pointed to bet- ter event advertisement as a way to increase student involvement, as well as listening more to student feedback.
“If students enjoy the events, I know that I am doing my job,” White said.
She said the ASC works well as a team, and she hopes to hold on to that.
