The budget for the Halloween Dance was discussed at the weekly Associated Student Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016.
The budget is set at $2500. The price of balloons, main set piece, and DJ were discussed. The dance’s central set piece was a major point of discussion. The ASC discussed having a giant spider this year, as opposed to a pirate ship that has been used in past dances.
The price of the set piece was not dis- cussed. The price range for balloons was set between $100 and $200 but was not
final. It was mentioned that a large portion of the $2,500 budget will have to go toward a DJ for a dance.
The Halloween Dance will not be the most expensive event this school year. The Zombie Mud run will likely have a higher investment, but the annual run also produces revenue, while the Halloween Dance will not, said ASC President Zak Hoskins.
The Halloween Dance will most likely be the biggest investment with no revenue return this school year.
The Halloween Dance is Saturday, Oct. 29.
