A unanimous vote for new funds for the Fitness Center was made by the As- sociated Student Council on Oct. 4.
The funds are to be used for replacement, repair, and operation of equipment for the Fitness Center.
The center is currently funded through 2032 with the $2 per credit student register fee. The Fitness Center’s funding is way ahead of schedule according to Rick Ross.
The ASC is planning on using funds from a yet to be determined source to provide for the Fitness Center goals and expansion.
The details are not final at this time but, there will be more information later in the fall quarter.
This move will hopefully attract more students to use the equipment in the Fitness Center in the future.
Some of the equipment in the Fitness Center is outdated and not often used by Fitness Center patrons.
The funds provided will also go towards extending the Fitness Center’s hours of operation.
This may help accommodate students who work earlier hours in the day or have late classes.
