Update by Forrest Maynock and Sarah Baker
The new $25.6 million Allied Health building has been delayed for two months after running into a glitch.
Acording to David Wegener, the contracted window glaziers went on strike, possibly resulting in yet another two-month pushback in the overall construction. However, the strike was resolved a month ago. Everything is back on schedule, with the previous delay set last year, and going really well Wegener told us.
“We’re planning to move into the building over a spring break.” Wegener said. It will be open Spring Quarter 2017.
The first floor of the new building will be a educare facility, and the second floor will be used for nursing students.
The campus Nursing and the Early Childhood Education program will occupy the two-story building.
