PUB Global was a huge success this year, with the entire Pirate Union Building being packed with excited students all throughout the duration of the event.
“It’s great to see variety of culture in one place. With delicious food and amazing people,” Luthfan Khalis said; Luthfan was representing at the Indonesian table during PUB Global.
PUB Global is an annual event that takes people from every background and allows them to interact with one another and learn about different cultures. International students have a table from their home country and they bring foods, arts, crafts, and clothes from their culture. Students can go around and try foods from each table, and learn about the culture.
The atmosphere of PUB global was so excited, you could feel the room buzzing just standing in the doorway. The smells of all the foods were amazing, and the different aromas made the event spectacular.
“I think the last PUB Global has been a really successful event of the college. Every country has shown their own unique culture through the food, pictures or currencies,” Diep Linh Khanh, who was with the Vietnam table, said.
“Personally, I was very impressed by the Malaysian table when they spiritually sang their country’s song. They must be really proud and appreciate their homeland so much,” she said, and that she was very proud of her friends from Malaysia who performed some songs from their culture.
Overall, this PUB global was a huge success and really brought the school together with different cultures and people.
