Recently, Peninsula College has seen a few talented people take the stage during the ‘Peninsula’s Got Talent’ show, academic accomplishments of its brightest minds, and the physical prowess of its athletes.
All of this talent is some pretty serious business.
But seriously, where’s the laughter? Look no further. Peninsula College has a comedy club which hosted a two day event from the 4th through the 5th.
Coordinator Lara Starcevich said, “we have a standup comedy club that needs to do something, and we’re hoping for some laughs.”
The comedians used anecdotes mixed with explicit content to carry the “adult” theme of the event.
Patra Wanandi, a volunteer, said, “It’s definitely for a mature audience.”
Following the opening night, a workshop was held and experienced artists gave hints to other aspiring comedians who’re hoping to pursue a career in the field.
wish there was a photo of the comedy club doin’ it’s thang 🙁
